City Newspaper
I’ve been advertising in City Newspaper pretty much since the day the shop opened.
The Business Association of the South Wedge Area (BASWA) arranged for a co-op ad - a full page, color, to be shared by 12 neighborhood businesses. I got one of the slots. The ad runs twice a month, and each placement costs each business $109.
The ads started in June. In July I switched to an “independence” theme (with text “borrowed” from Southwest Air). The second ad ran through August.

In September I switched to an “artist” theme, just because. I got lots of comments about it - nobody could understand it. So in October I switched to an Autumn theme.

In November I moved away from “branding” ads, trying to get some immediate sales instead. Unfortunately City messed up and didn’t make the change until the second printing in the month.

In August City also prints a “Student Guide” which gets distributed to incoming freshmen at five local colleges. I placed the following ad in it.

Also in August I started running the following “back to school” ad in the issues between between the BASWA ads. I didn’t pay for color.
