Gas Station Ads
A new marketing company, Driving Image, has come up with an interesting place for advertising that sounds perfect for my business - next to the pumps at a gas station!
Here’s the deal: They have provided a number of local gas stations with trash cans that have space for advertising on the sides. The ads are roughly 10″ x 20″, printed on vinyl, and nicely framed. (The salesman brought one into the shop to show me - it looked pretty good.) The trash cans are placed next to the pumps at each station.
Ads cost $200 for three months, $350 for six months, or $475 for a year. If they get damaged, defaced, or faded the company will reprint and replace them.
I’ve signed up for a six month slot starting in March. I’m picturing an ad that says something like “If you were filling a scooter you’d be done by now.”
