Legends 990 Radio
Legends 990 is a local AM radio station, one of the few that is NOT owned by one of the media conglomerates. It targets an older audience with a rather unusual mix of music from the 40’s through today, with a mild Christian flavor.
I’m currently contracted for three spots per week, all running on Wednesday. Wednesday was chosen because that’s when the Negative Image Scooter Club does its weekly ride. My thought was to combine the commercials with the ride to reinforce the idea that scooters are fashionable.
Unlike other stations, Legends 990 commercials are a full minute long. The price is roughly the same as for 30 second spots on other stations - $30 each. These commercials are costing me $90 per week, or $1,080 for the 12 week run.
