Open For Business
As of yesterday Urban Village Scooters is “officially” open for business!
What does this mean? Well, we’ve hung up an “OPEN” sign, and turn it on in the morning and off at night.
It also means we’ve completed our permitting and registration processes. Urban Village Scooters is a New York State Registered Motor Vehicle Dealer and Repair Station, authorized (and required) to collect sales tax and various other official taxes and fees. We have permits from the City of Rochester for retail sales and motorcycle maintenance. Etc.
Our hours are currently 10 AM to 8 PM, Monday through Saturday, and noon to 6 PM on Sunday. These hours may change in the future as we get more familiar with customer demands.
We may also close during the day, if the weather’s good, simply to go for a ride. After all, we like to ride just as much as our customers do!

Hey Kurt, best of luck to you and Gary on the grand opening this weekend. Someone stopped me yesterday looking for an affordable scooter and I sent them your way.
I’ll try to stop by on my way to the public market.

Congratulations on your opening. I was delighted to read about it in the Democrat and Chronicle and will be stopping by soon to check out your place.
I’ve ridden a Kymco ZX50 for several years and am hoping you will be able to service them, since the local dealer I bought it from closed without notice about a year ago and left owners high and dry. The city needs a centrally located, full-service (and competent) scooter dealer; if your business plan was good enough to win the South Wedge competition, you could be the people who know how to make a go of it. I’ll be pulling for you, and I bet there are lots of other scooter owners in Rochester who feel the same way.
