Maintenance Night – Tuesday, 10/27 @ 7:00 PM

October 27, 2009
7:00 pm

By popular request, we will be having our first ever Maintenance Night on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 7:00 PM. We’re planning to show how to change the oil and winterize your scooter, and answering any questions you may have.

This will be at our shop, at 700 South Clinton Ave. There is no charge for attending.

Please let us know you’ll be there so we can have enough refreshments on hand!

Thanks!

Top Gear Scoots the Length of Vietnam

One of my favorite finds on the Internet is the BBC 2 show Top Gear. Shortly after Christmas they broadcast their Vietnam special in which they sent three of their reviewers, including 6’5″ Jeremy (who hates anything with only two wheels), on a ten day, 1,000 mile trek through Vietnam.

On scooters! (Mostly.)

The show is about 75 minutes long, and was put up at two segments. Check it out!

[edit: The BBC has cracked down on unauthorized versions of this video. The official version is in these two links, but they've been edited down from their original content.]

WordPress Upgrade

This is basically a test post. I recently upgraded WordPress, my blogging software, and am having some problems with it. This post is intended to help me diagnose and fix those problems. Please ignore!

[Update] I think I’ve resolved my blogging problems. Time to get back to real work!

Paint your scooter?

It’s now officially winter – 20 degrees and falling, with the first 1+ inches of snow expected tonight. Not good for riding, so how about some dreaming?

Peter Max SicilyThis is a design idea for painting a Sicily 50 scooter to look like a Peter Max poster. Why Peter Max? Well, I figured if I was going to paint a scooter, I’d want it to be bold, with a hint of 60′s style, which led me to Peter Max. Besides, his was the only name I could remember!

What do you think? Have you thought of a custom paint job for your scoot?
