What is a “maxi” or “touring” scooter?
This a scooter designed for riding long distances in comfort. The trade off is that with its heavier weight, longer wheelbase, and wider body it is awkward to handle at low speeds and in tight places.
The largest scooters on the market fall into this category, with a 650cc Suzuki Burgman being the largest I’ve seen to date.
