Do I need a special license to ride a scooter?
If your scooter can go faster than 30 mph you will need a motorcycle endorsement on your drivers license.
Some of our scooters won’t go that fast, so to operate those you will only need a regular drivers license. The rest of them will require a “class M” license (a motorcycle endorsement).
It’s not difficult to get your motorcycle endorsement, and I recommend that everyone get it. The best way is to sign up for the MSF Basic RiderCourse taught at MCC. More information can be found at Learn2Ride.net.
